Aesthetic follow-up: make the aftercare plan clear

Understand the plan after the appointment before consenting to a procedure. Aftercare is part of the care relationship, not simply a generic handout.

Ask what is specific to your procedure

Different products and procedures may have different instructions. Ask the treating clinician what applies to your actual treatment and how other medical advice should be coordinated. Do not substitute guidance from another clinic or a previous procedure without checking. Keep the written instructions somewhere you can readily find them.

Clarify contact and escalation routes

Ask how to reach the responsible team, what to do outside usual hours, and where to seek urgent medical attention when needed. A general website form may not be monitored for clinical concerns. Do not wait for a routine aesthetic review if a concern needs immediate care.

Understand the review appointment

Confirm whether follow-up is recommended, what the visit is intended to assess, and whether any fees apply. Ask how concerns about appearance will be evaluated without assuming a further procedure is automatically appropriate. Hyperwell’s actual follow-up arrangements and policies must be verified before care; the website does not confirm a touch-up entitlement or treatment schedule.

Make the conversation yours

Questions to take with you.

  • Which instructions apply to my exact procedure?
  • Whom do I contact during and outside office hours?
  • What will the follow-up assess and what does it cost?
