Botulinum toxin product questions before treatment

Confirm the product behind a familiar treatment name. A clinic should be able to explain what it proposes to use and who is qualified to administer it.

Ask for the product name

Botox is a brand name, not the name of every botulinum toxin product. Ask which specific product is proposed and why. Clarify the intended use and whether it is within the approved labeling. Do not assume that an advertisement using a familiar name establishes the identity of the product at the appointment.

Ask about sourcing and professional qualifications

CDC advises asking whether products come from an authorized source and whether the provider is licensed and trained to administer them. Bring those questions into the consultation before consenting. A special offer should not make them awkward or unnecessary. If answers are unclear, take time to seek clarification.

Keep the record of your care

Ask what product and procedure information will be included in your visit summary and what instructions you will receive afterward. Know whom to contact with concerns. Hyperwell has not confirmed a specific brand menu; this guide does not promise access to a named product or certify a supply chain.

Make the conversation yours

Questions to take with you.

  • What is the exact product you propose?
  • How is authorized sourcing verified?
  • What information will be documented in my treatment record?
