Planning aesthetic care around an event

Tell the clinician about an important event before deciding on treatment. A deadline should be part of the planning discussion, not a reason to rush consent or assume a result.

Explain the whole timeline

Bring the event date, travel plans, and any periods when you cannot attend follow-up. Clarify whether photographs, work, or other obligations shape your concerns. Ask how the proposed procedure’s uncertainties fit that timeline. Do not assume a friend’s recovery or a campaign image predicts your experience.

Ask what can and cannot be planned

Discuss preparation, possible downtime, follow-up, and factors that may affect when a result can reasonably be assessed. Ask the clinician what would make them recommend postponing a procedure. Avoid treating a marketing phrase such as no downtime as a complete explanation of what could happen in your case.

Include postponement as a real option

You can explore information now and decide on treatment later. Ask what a separate consultation would involve and whether fees or bookings can be changed. Hyperwell does not guarantee an event-ready appearance, a recovery interval, or appointment availability. The individual plan and timing need confirmation with the treating clinician.

Make the conversation yours

Questions to take with you.

  • Does my timeline make this a reasonable decision?
  • What uncertainties should I plan around?
  • Would it be better to wait until after the event?
