Describe the area and the change you notice
Explain which skin concern you want to discuss, when you notice it, and whether it has changed. If photographs show a useful comparison, ask how to share them privately. A new or concerning skin change may need medical evaluation rather than an aesthetic procedure discussion.
Show the routine your skin is experiencing
Bring current product labels and information about recent procedures or reactions. Note which items are prescribed and who manages them. Avoid changing several products before the visit just to arrive with a different routine. Ask whether the practice needs any individual preparation before assessing your concern.
Ask for the scope of the plan
Clarify whether the recommendation concerns home care, an aesthetic procedure, dermatology evaluation, or another pathway. For a procedure, request its exact name and intended purpose, then discuss limitations, risks, and aftercare. A general skin-care service description does not confirm a specific device or treatment menu.
Make the conversation yours
Questions to take with you.
- What kind of assessment does this concern need?
- Which parts of my current routine matter for the decision?
- What is actually available and appropriate to consider?
