Peptide sourcing: product identity before a purchase

A named program is not a product identity. Ask who prescribes, who dispenses, and what exact preparation would be supplied before making a purchase.

Unpack the program name

If a service describes a protocol or a branded blend, ask for each substance and preparation to be identified. Record the intended use next to each one. You need to know whether a discussion concerns one product or several before asking about evidence, status, or costs.

Trace responsibility from proposal to dispensing

Identify the prescribing professional, the practice arranging care, and the dispensing source where applicable. Ask which party answers a question about the prescription, labeling, or a shipment. FDA’s BeSafeRx resources can help with independent pharmacy checks, but a pharmacy identity does not answer whether a proposed peptide use is appropriate.

Keep product status separate from a quality claim

Ask what the exact preparation’s regulatory status is and what evidence supports its intended use. A certificate or a marketing phrase such as pharmaceutical grade should not close those questions. Do not purchase material first in order to obtain a clinical explanation, and do not use this guide for preparation or administration instructions.

Make the conversation yours

Questions to take with you.

  • Who is responsible for prescribing and dispensing?
  • What is the exact preparation?
  • How can I independently verify the dispensing source?
