Proportion. Balance. Individuality.
Dermal fillers are injectable medical devices used in specific areas for specific indications. Product choice and placement require individualized assessment, knowledge of facial anatomy, and a clear discussion of potential complications.
What to discuss at your visit
- Review your goals, previous injectables, allergies, and medical history.
- Discuss product selection, approved uses, alternatives, and whether no treatment is the best choice.
- Review consent, aftercare, follow-up, and signs that require urgent attention.
Suitability & safety
Risks include bruising, swelling, infection, lumps, and delayed reactions. Rare injection into a blood vessel can cause tissue death, vision loss, or stroke. Seek immediate medical care for concerning symptoms after treatment. Outcomes are not guaranteed.
Take time over the proposal
Ask why the proposed product and placement fit your goals, what alternatives exist, and how complications would be managed. A quoted quantity is not a complete treatment plan. Request the risk discussion and aftercare information before consenting.
Common questions
Are fillers reversible?
Some hyaluronic acid fillers may be treated with an enzyme, but reversal is not guaranteed and carries its own risks. Other filler types are not dissolved this way.
Can I have treatment at the first visit?
Timing depends on assessment, consent, product availability, and clinical judgment. Same-day treatment is not promised.
